The Peruvian Andes have many human made and natural wonders to offer you,: Mountain –Top Machu Picchu, Imperial Cusco, Colca Canyon, the deepest in Latin America, and Lake Titicaca, the highest lake in the world, are just a few of them. Feel like a Condor when you fly over the Andes and see the spectacular views of this majestic mountain range.

Itinerary:

Day 1 – Arequipa:
You will be picked up at the airport and taken to your comfortable hotel to relax and acclimatize to the altitude. In the afternoon you will be taken on a city tour to view what is the most attractive city in Peru where many of the colonial buildings are made of white ashler stone.

Day 2 – 3 Arequipa:
You will start early to spend as much time as possible in the majestic Peruvian highlands arriving at the Colca canyon lookout point "Cruz del Condor" in Chivay where you have a panoramic view of the canyon. During your journey you will not only see amazing panoramas but also typical Andean villages and fauna -llamas, alpacas and vicuñas which the inhabitants use to make the finest of textiles. To fully enjoy the trip we have arranged an overnight stay in a lodge close to the canyon so that you will have every opportunity of snapping condors and snapping up textile bargains. In the afternoon of day 3 you will return to your hotel in The White City.

Day 4 - Cusco:
Transfer to the Arequipa airport to take your flight to Cusco. You will be picked up at the airport and taken to your comfortable hotel where you are advised to rest to acclimatize to the altitude. That evening, enjoy the night life of Cusco at your leisure.

Day 5 - Cusco:
In the early afternoon you will be taken on a city tour and will visit a local archeological site returning in the later afternoon to relax and eat in one of the many restaurants where you can enjoy the local cuisine and hospitality of the local people.

Day 6 - Cusco:
After an early breakfast and early start you will be taken through the Inca Sacred Valley where life has remained almost unchanged for 500 years. You will visit the impressive ruins of Pisac and Ollantaytambo and have the opportunity to visit a local market in Pisac to enjoy the beautiful handicrafts on sale and wonder at the many ethnic tribal costumes worn, not just for tourists, but as part of their heritage by the local people. Before returning to your hotel in the late afternoon you will have the opportunity of eating typical Andean food in a typical restaurant.

Day 7 – Cusco:
After breakfast at the hotel you take a train to the hidden temple of the Incas:- Machu Picchu. You will have a guided tour of one of the most awe inspiring places in the world. As an option, you may stay overnight in this area (highly recommended) and visit the ruins early next day when the full magnificence of the site reveals itself in all its majesty. You can also relax at the nearby hot springs. Otherwise, return to your hotel in Cusco in the late afternoon.

Day 8 - Cusco / Puno:
Breakfast at the hotel. If you did not decide to extend your wonderful trip to Cusco for at least one extra day (do it before it´s too late!), we will transfer you to the train station so you can take a train to Puno. After a beautiful 10 hour train ride to Puno where you were able to see spectacular views of the Andes , we will transfer you to your hotel.

Day 9 – Puno:
You will have a full one day lake tour visiting the human made islands of Uros, Taquile and Amantani mingling with the local population and seeing their unique handicrafts and dress.

Day 10 – Puno:
You will be transferred to the airport for your flight out. You may extend your trip to other destinations or return to your country.
